Shenaniganz Rockwall’s New Era of Play: Inside Our 20,000 Sq. Ft. Remodel

Shenaniganz Rockwall’s New Era of Play: Inside Our 20,000 Sq. Ft. Remodel

We’ve officially leveled up. Shenaniganz Rockwall recently wrapped a 20,000 sq. ft. remodel, bringing our total facility to 75,000 sq. ft.

That’s not a fresh coat of paint and some new carpet. We added three genuinely new reasons to visit: Quantum Go-Karts, an all-new indoor Lone Star Mini Golf course, and Z Lounge, our bar and VIP lane area built for a grown-up experience.

Rockwall families have been coming here for years for birthday parties and Friday nights, and that hasn’t changed. But if your last visit was before the remodel, you haven’t seen this version of the building yet. One of the new additions is the first of its kind in the country.

Here’s what changed.

Key Takeaways

  • We added 20,000 sq. ft. to Shenaniganz Rockwall, bringing the full facility to 75,000 sq. ft.
  • Quantum Go-Karts brings America’s first Supercube augmented reality karting system to Rockwall
  • Lone Star Mini Golf is a brand-new indoor nine-hole course built around Texas landmarks
  • Our new Z Lounge gives the 21+ crowd a reason to make Shenaniganz the plan, not just the drop-off
  • Rockwall works as well for a date night or a team outing as it does for a kid’s birthday party

What’s New Inside

Twenty thousand square feet buys a lot of room. We spent it on three additions that each do something different: one built for speed, one for the whole group, and one for the adults who have been asking for a spot of their own.

Quantum Go-Karts: America’s First Supercube AR Karting System

Quantum Go-Karts is the headliner, and the claim behind it is a real one. This is the first Supercube augmented reality karting system in the United States.

Here’s how it plays. You’re in a high-speed electric kart on a real track, except the track races back. Virtual projectiles and power-ups get projected onto the surface in front of you, so you’re dodging and grabbing while you drive. Live lap timing and a leaderboard keep everyone honest about who actually won.

Kids understand it in about four seconds. Adults tend to get competitive about it faster than they expect to.

If you’ve raced our karts before, this is worth another lap. It isn’t the same track.

Know before you go: Drivers must be at least 58 inches tall, and closed-toe shoes are required.

Lone Star Mini Golf: Nine Holes, Fully Indoors

Our new Lone Star Mini Golf course is nine holes of Texas, built entirely indoors.

You’ll putt past custom-built landmarks, including Big Tex and the Alamo, under neon lights, in air conditioning. That last detail earns its keep in a Texas August.

Mini golf is the great equalizer in a group with a wide age range. Grandparents can play it. Five-year-olds can play it. Nobody ages out and nobody has to hit a height or age requirement, which makes it one of the easier calls when a group can’t agree on what to do next.

Z Lounge: Built for the Grown-Ups

Not everyone walking through our doors is nine years old with a birthday coming up.

Z Lounge is our answer to that. It’s a bar and VIP lane area with plush seating, private lanes, 24-foot projection screens, and a cocktail menu that goes well past what you’d expect to find at a bowling alley. Open to all ages until 9pm; 18+ after 9pm.

It works for a date night, a group of friends who want a Friday out, or the back half of a corporate visit once the team-building portion has run its course.

One Facility, Every Kind of Visit

The point of the remodel wasn’t more stuff for its own sake. It was making one building work for more kinds of night and events.

A single Saturday at Shenaniganz Rockwall can now be:

  • A kid’s birthday party built around bowling, laser tag, and the arcade
  • A first date that starts with mini golf and ends at Z Lounge
  • A corporate outing that puts the whole team in go-karts and then feeds them without anyone leaving the building
  • A Friday night out with friends who want a lane, a drink, and no part of a laser tag arena

Same roof, same parking lot, completely different nights. That was the goal.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s new at Shenaniganz Rockwall?

Our 20,000 sq. ft. remodel added three things: Quantum Go-Karts, America’s first Supercube augmented reality karting system; Lone Star Mini Golf, a brand-new indoor nine-hole course themed around Texas landmarks; and Z Lounge, a 21+ bar and VIP lane area. The full facility now runs 75,000 sq. ft.

Is Shenaniganz Rockwall good for adults, not just kids?

Yes, and the remodel leaned into exactly that. Z Lounge was built for the 21+ crowd, with private lanes, a full cocktail menu, and 24-foot projection screens. Quantum Go-Karts and our escape rooms pull in plenty of adults on their own, and we host corporate groups regularly.

Do I need to book Quantum Go-Karts or Lone Star Mini Golf in advance?

Walk-ins are welcome for both. Weekends and school breaks get busy, though, so booking ahead is the surest way to land the time slot you want. Groups should reserve in advance either way.
