Looking to earn some Cornhole Cash?

Then boy do we have a tournament for you! Get your team together and show up on October 30th at 12:30 to take on Rockwall’s best in a Cornhole Tournament! Expect some tough competition and over $500 in prizes! Some of you may be ready to jump at that opportunity, but the rest of you might not know much about Cornhole League Play, and that’s what we’re here to talk about!

So you’ve found this blog and you’re looking for something to do on the weekend of Halloween. Maybe you’re not as interested in Halloween or Trick or Treating? Maybe you’ve seen Cornhole before and thought it looked like a lot of fun? Well, let’s talk about Cornhole Leagues then! Here’s how things typically go for a Cornhole League: You find your partner (whom you trust as far as you can throw a bean bag), train with them to be the best, and kill it at weekend leagues! Now, maybe that sounds too easy, so we’ll break it down for you here.

What do you need to practice for Cornhole Leagues?

That’s easy! Get your Cornhole boards (or get some custom-made ones like we have), measure out the regulation distance, and brush up on the Cornhole Rules! Oh, and don’t forget to get some cornhole bags to throw! Usually, you can get most of these things in a cornhole set, but that’s up to you. Besides that, you just need a partner and some old-fashioned ambition to train up for cornhole leagues!

What should I look for in a good Cornhole Partner?

Another easy one. The most important trait for a partner to have is that they get along with you! Besides that, they have to be an absolute cornhole addict! Preferrable an ace at the game as well, but that’s a little less important (unless winning is everything, which it is to us).

How do I find Cornhole Leagues to sign up for?

Now you’re asking the harder questions! We’ll give you some examples here. Shenaniganz of Rockwall is having a TCL Regional competition on October 30th in The Backyard area, and this is the perfect opportunity to get your foot in the door with cornhole leagues! Just show up and start talking to some of the TCL Regional people and they can take care of the rest. The next thing you know you’ll be competing for your own Cornhole Championship!

That’s all the tips we have for getting your foot in the door for Cornhole Leagues, so the rest is up to you! And remember, if you’re looking for a great place to practice your amazing cornhole skills you can always stop by Shenaniganz of Rockwall! We’ve got several boards and a very large, open area in the back of the building always set up for you! Even better, we’ve got food and drinks at both Rozie’s Grill as well as our awesome Taco Truck! And if you’re looking for more sports similar to cornhole, check out Axe Throwing over at Tomahawks while you’re in The Backyard! We look forward to seeing you killing it out there in the Cornhole Leagues!
